Along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Ionian coast of Calabria in the center of the Gulf of Squillace, you will find an oasis of peace and tranquility among olive, orange, bamboo and eucalyptus trees. Contrada Guido is a historic residence that in over 25 years of activity has had many illustrious guests and has been appreciated for being a place dedicated to contemporary art, welcoming in its rooms exhibitions and artists of international renown. Located in the heart of an 18th century village owned by the family that manages it, Contrada Guido is just a few hundred meters from the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea and only half an hour’s drive from the beautiful forests of the Sila. Not only: at 20 minutes by car you can visit the Marca Museum and the Biodiversity Park of Catanzaro, two real and little known excellences of national contemporary art. Suffice it to say that in the Biodiversity Park is located one of the largest collections of contemporary outdoor artworks in Europe that contains works by Wim Delvoye, Marc Quinn, Stephan Balkenhol, Antony Gormley, Jan Fabre, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mauro Staccioli, Daniel Buren, Tony Cragg, Mimmo Paladino and Denis Oppenheim.

The other strong point of Contrada Guido is nature: the garden of ten thousand square meters, the swimming pool surrounded by a large lawn, dozens of plants in constant bloom, the soccer field la in grass, beach with lido at 2 km, are a perfect setting for a romantic weekend, for a holiday with family or friends.
